Monthly services are held at retirement villages for their residents. Services include a time of song and a message from the Word of God.

Children’s Sunday School

Our children’s Sunday school caters for children from preschool age up to Year 6-7. Through God’s grace we have 4 classes running during the Morning Worship service. This enables parents to concentrate on listening to God’s word whilst knowing their children are also learning about God in a fun and supportive environment.

The classes are run  from 10:30AM to the end of the Morning Worship service. The classes are arranged roughly into the following age groups, although consideration is also given to each individual child’s spiritual knowledge.

  • Preschool: 3-5 years of age
  • Kindergarten & Year 1: 5-6 years of age
  • Year 2 – 4 Girls & Boys: 7-9 years of age
  • Year 5 – 7 Girls & Boys: 10-12 years of age

The Evangel Chinese care group meets once a month on Saturdays.

Both Chinese and English speakers are welcome to join us for an evening of Bible study, singing, and great food!

Fortnightly Care Groups

Tuesday and Thursday fortnightly care groups meet at members residences

Location: Stinson & Tay residence

Care groups are fellowship groups for those of working age and beyond, although all are welcome to attend. Two separate groups each meet on a fortnightly basis on Tuesday and Thursday. Evenings consist of Bible study and discussion.

Sessions : Weekly on Fridays during school terms

Time: 7:30PM – 9:30PM

Location: Putney Scouts Club Hall

Evangel Youth is a youth fellowship catering for those of high school age. The group meets on Friday evenings from 7.30 – 9.30pm during the school term at Putney Scouts Club Hall which is down the road from Evangel Bible Church. Learn from the Bible, how to live God’s way. A typical evening consists of singing, a message from the Bible, games and refreshments.

All youth are welcome to join in the fellowship and edification.

The Ladies’ Bible Study meets fortnightly on Friday evenings at 7:30pm, in the church main hall.

We are currently studying the book of Romans. Other recent topics have included Psalms, Nehemiah, and Jeremiah.

The Evangel Choir presents items to the glory of God on special occasions such as Easter and Christmas, as well as other times throughout the year.  Practices are held after the Sunday morning worship service.

The choir is currently working on, “And the Glory of the Lord” from Handel’s Messiah.
